TitrationTitration stems from the french word titre, which means rank, which in turn originates from the latin word titalus. Titration, by definition, is the determination of rank or concentration of a solution with respect to water with a pH of 7 (which is the pH of pure water). The traditional method (manual titration) requires high accuracy and precision, both in the preparation of the material, and the use of precisely dosed reagents. The high level of precision required makes the manual analytical technique very long and fastidious. The growing need for faster results has led Hanna Instruments to develop fast and efficient titration systems providing reliable data, as well as making products for all different types of titration, be it potentiometric, amperometric, spectrophotometric, etc. |
