The HI-981408 stick pH meter is fitted with an extra long and very sturdy pH electrode. The meter itself is sealed against water and dust and features a protected LCD display and On/Off switch. Calibration is manual at pH 7.

This stick meter is ideal for applications where pH measurement needs to be performed in larger vessels, or in otherwise hard to access areas. Suitable for swimming pool, rivers and lake pH measurement it is also a popular meter in the hydroponics and greenhouse markets.

The electrode is designed to be especially tough and the whole can be used to stir the solution being measured if required. Running costs have been kept to a minimum and using just 2 x AA batteries (supplied with the meter). As an example of this, if it was used for 2 hours per day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, it would run for over 2 years before it needed new batteries.
