| Hanna Part No: HI-93737 Small quantities of Silver are bactericidal. As a result, it is often used in water filters expecially for drinking water filters after the tap.
However, the presence of Silver in drainage/river/ground water usually indicates pollution from film manufacturing, film processors and surface finishers. Silver levels are closely monitored in these areas as the presence of Silver can cause discoloration of skin, eyes and mucous membranes.
The Hanna HI-93737 Silver Meter is extremely easy to use and gives direct readout on the digital display in mg/L(ppm). To obtain a reading simply take a small sample of water in the glass cuvette supplied, add the reagent (not included), and then place the cuvette in the measuring chamber of the instrument.
