Hydrazine is a liquid chemical substance normally used in high pressure heating plants because of its properties as an oxygen inhibitor. It reacts with dissolved oxygen to yeild nitrogen and water, so that hydrazine offers an advantage when compared to the sulfite method of water treatment as it does not produce any dissolved solids as a result of it's action.

The Hanna HI-93704 Hydrazine meter gives direct readout of the Hydrazine levels in micro-grams per litre. Simple to use, it requires Hydrazine reagent (not included) to be added to a 10ml water sample in the supplied glass cuvette. The cuvette is placed into the measuring chamber of the meter and a direct digital readout is then obtained.
